Your Italian cooking class experience takes place in the beautiful Viterbo countryside on the outskirts of Soriano nel Cimino. A small, undiscovered town nestled in the hills of Northern Lazio, just an hour north of Rome and close to the borders of Tuscany and Umbria.
Here you will partake in a full-immersion cooking class and taste some of La Dolce Vita as you make your own meal completely from scratch using family recipes and taught by a home-town chef instructor.
The menu you will prepare will give you the tools and recipes you need to create and then re-create at home, your wonderful and delicious Traditional, Family-Style Italian meal. You will have an amazing time as wine, music, food and fun will be in abundance! Your chef and staff will make you part of their family in their private villa in this locals-only, non touristic part of Italy off-the beaten-path.
Your recipes consist of locally-grown and sourced products. Some found only in this part of Italy. Depending on your choice of experiences, we can include time in Soriano for shopping the local markets as well as visiting local artisans and shopkeepers.
This can be either a group or private experience. Menu items may be interchangeable according to group preference.
Meeting point in Soriano nel Cimino. Private transportation to and from Soriano can be arranged as option. Detail of the meeting point will be communicate after confirmation.
On the morning of your cooking class, we will meet in the main Piazza of Soriano. As “locals” we cannot miss a good espresso or cappuccino and fresh pastries before we head out to the villa for our cooking experience.
We arrive at the Villa with welcoming arms when we meet our chef instructor and staff. Your chef instructor is from Soriano and is eager to share her love of the regional cuisine whose family recipes have been passed down through the generations.
After the introductions and a brief class orientation, you will get your complimentary Apron and get right into preparing your delicious meal!
The menu will be:
Panzanella: Regional Tuscan bread and vegetable salad.
Ravioli: Made from scratch, with ricotta cheese and spinach filling, boiled and then sautéed in a butter and sage sauce.
Tuscan Roasted Chicken and Roasted Potatoes – Seasoned with local herbs and spices, baked in a wood-burning oven.
Our lunch will be served with all the dishes prepared during the cooking class. Weather-permitting, we will have lunch on the veranda in the garden of the villa – Overlooking the countryside of the Tiber River Valley.
We’ll have some rest time after our wonderful meal and enjoy some espresso, limoncello or our home-made artisanal grappa!
We will also provide your transfer back to the town center of Soriano.

At the confirmation you will receive a mail with the detailed programme including time schedule + a 24 hours emergency number.
Within 48 hours form the reservation we will contact you if the date reserved it is not available and we will propose an alternative date.
The definitive time schedule will be reconfirmed by our staff at the mail indicated in the reservation, few days before departure.
Deposit of 30% at confirmation – Balance 30 days before departure
The price of the tour depends of the number of guest reserved. Except if you reserve the option “make it private” our staff at the balance will inform you if any reduction of price will be available.
Cancellation until 30 days before departure no charge
For cancellation from 29 days before departure the 100% of the price will be charged
IMPORTANT: in any case of cancellation after confirmation a fee of 8% will be charged
