This tour it is an ideal option should you wish to add a detour to your stay in Rome. A one day “escape” from tourist attractions, enjoying the peace of unique yet undiscovered villages; meeting the locals and learning the ancient traditions of olive oil and wine making; visiting one of the most spectacular Umbrian towns, Orvieto and its magnificent Duomo, and the picturesque Civita di Bagnoregio the “dying city”.
This is a full hosted tour so a you will be accompanied by a Tour Leader for the entire day.

Pick-up at your hotel is available only if centrally located, otherwise at the closest meeting point. Our staff will be in contact with you 3 days prior to your tour to inform you about the exact pick-up location and departure time(it might vary depending on other reservations).

9:00 AM Pick up form your hotel or at meeting point as confirmed by your Tour Leader and drive to the town of Orvieto in the Umbria region. It will be around 1 hours and 30 minutes drive. A stop on the way for rest room and coffee can be arranged.
Arriving in Orvieto you will have around 1½ hrs to walk on your own in this beautiful historical center, shopping or visiting the magnificent Duomo, one of the most important cathedrals of central Italy. Just looking at the facade is an experience on its own!
We will meet again at the meeting point previously shown by our Tour Leader and we will drive to our next destination
We will take a short drive to a small family-run winery and olive mill in a local Village of Lazio. Here, one of the owners will give us a tour of their wine cellar and olive mill, followed by a tasting of their line of wines and their olive oil. As we are tasting, we will have a wonderfulblunch in their farm made by the owners with many local delicacies, and of course… their wine!”
45 minutes drive and we will arrive at the beautiful Civita di Bagnoregio called the “Dying City”. Situated on a “hill” of tufa stone this town has a striking beauty like nothing else and the landscape that is so unique that it feels like living in a post card. We will have some time to walk around village or just rest at a café for a coffee or a drink.
Transfer back to Rome where we should arrive around 7:00 PM

The price of the tour depends of the number of guest reserved. Except if you reserve the option “make it private” our staff at the balance will inform you if any reduction of price will be available.
Cancellation until 30 days before departure no charge
For cancellation from 29 days before departure the 100% of the price will be charged
IMPORTANT: in any case of cancellation after confirmation a fee of 8% will be charged
